Fish identification - golden roach?

I was fishing at trent park and pulled out this little beauty, I thought it was a roach, but I've never seen a roach with such a golden skin or such bright red fins. Having looked around the fin colour seems to be similar to that of a rudd, maybe its a cross breed?

The picture doesn't really do justice to the colour of the upper scales, the joy of a cheap camera and bad ambient lighting.

Ah, so it is, I've only pulled out roach and perch from this water and thought it was a unusually coloured roach. Had a look at pictures of rudd but all I saw were the adults, which looked more pot-bellied than this one.
