"Grumpy Git" had the dubious honour of the highest bid for a "Day Out With Me - On The Royalty". Well, today was the day, we might tell the tale sometime in the future but suffice to say this is the nearest we came to a barbel:

At least the money went to a very good cause!

Cheers Gary, maybe we should do it again sometime!!

Neil and myself had one of those 'Spiller' days, blanking nicely. As they say or should do, a blank day is never a wasted day. I would have been dubious about attempting to fish the venue without a little company and some local knowledge. Whilst all of his wisdom couldn't change the conditions thanks to Neil I am now feeling confident enough to have another go on my own some time.

To my mind it was definitely money well spent and a good cause benefited to boot. Thanks Neil :w

Oh well maybe next time Gary. Thanks to both of you for supporting the fund raising effort. Just waiting for a couple of payments and then we should be able to total up everything.

Ah, seems like they haven't told you about the last weekend fishing trip where they forgot to take any food with them then?

But Wol reckons that those boilies were a pretty good substitute . . . . . . .

I've tried their squid and liver....caught nothing on them. 10kg and not one fish caught!

Do like the smell of their Spicy Tiger Nut and Peanut though.....
