Kev, have you tried the other flavours of dynamite meat, I'm interested as I'm not a lover of garlic, so having that smell on my hands all day is something I'd avoid if I could, I found the source is a great bait for barbel in boilies, as tackle shops of quality are fairly scarce around here now, I'm at Bedford on Monday and have the opportunity to look in two shops and a go outdoors....

Bait punches, I sold my seymo ones, I found the meat cylinders were almost conical, I use guru ones which work very well, in fact I might by another set as a spare, the only issue is the largest size could do with being a bit bigger, but it works great for my float fishing, for meat and bread...

I've only used the garlic flavour. It does pong. I started to use it when they discontinued what I was using on regular meat for barbel - Polony Oil. That stuff positively fumed, so the Dynamite meat seemed relatively mild. I believe they do Pellet and Sweetcorn flavours?

I like Lidl garlic sausage as bait and I don’t mind the smell personally, it is a bit whiffy though.

I like the Guru punches too, I mislaid my set. I thought I had looked everywhere and guessed they must have fallen behind a filing cabinet that I had bolted down to make a side to a desk in my tackle room/study, as on top of the printer that lives on it was the last place I remembered seeing them. Off to the tackle shop and when I returned home it was a few seconds later that I found them on the desk. I was looking for an orange pack and they were face down. Still I’m trying to get a set of roving gear put together, so it wasn’t too sad, lol.

It’s a shame they don’t float, as one rolled off of my side table and into the water on Monday. It was just within reach. As I went to get it I remembered an involuntary swim I had taken a couple of years before when I reached to get a rod rest that had rolled in. I was much more careful this time.

I used to cube luncheon meat, pour some The Source liquid in a Tupperware box and add a bit of Lo-salt, give it a good shake and freeze it. After it was defrosted there was more liquid than you had added. I think. The Source Liquid desolved some of the fat content of the meat. The meat had a different, spongier texture. It worked okay as bait too. I’ve tried The Source luncheon meat from the tackle shop and caught on it. I don’t think it’s any better than the DIY version, but it is more convenient.
