Hi Claudia , i should be all right ,Ray is going to lend me a float rod and i will bring some carp gear for a back up , can`t get my head around these small soft hook pellets on a barbless hook though .

Les, it is no problem, I have a quivertip rod i can chuck in the car if you want. as long as you have a reel for it.

Favourite today was 2 x 13ml hard pellets on a simple hair to size 10 hook, 8lb main line. Carp to 14lb (but mostly late in the afternoon!) Did lose a lump on the pole though, looked about 18lb+ as it rolled away! (my arm still aches).
