Okuma's SST "A" Carbon Grip Rod SST-S-992H-CGA!

What does SST stand for? Salmon, Steelhead & Trout! Got its birth from the Pacific Northwest. Been fishing there for Silvers since the 80's off Ilwaco, WA's Columbia River with my good friend Dr Phil Nudelman. I really fell in love with this one particular model as i've tried most of them including the travel model.

It's 9ft 9in & Heavy rated for spinning reels. Foregrip Length: 2-3/4in. Reargrip Length: 11in. Recommended Line: 15-40lb. Lure Weight: 1/2-3oz. Number of Guides: 10 + Tip (YUP!). Pieces? 2pc. Power Rating: H (Heavy, Really Med/Hvy To Me). Rod Taper: Medium. Weight: 8.6oz.

I now own 2 rods. I've spin casted (whipping), surf casted (dunking), Used floats to lures & jigs, even Hammer Bombs! I must have 5 other types of SST's. MY next favorite is the traveling model in a tube. The length is great for distance casting. Blank is beefy enough for the full 3oz yet sensitive to feel tossing 15g jigs. For the past year on sale at Amazon (got my last one there) with free shipping.
