From Power Knobs & Handles to Reel Balancers!

Let's Take a Peek! Years ago i was contacted by Vernon of Gomexus. His company wanted to produce accessories for Okuma's Blue Azores & other reels. So i contacted Okuma's Director of Product Development John Bretza & he said it was ok that I represent Okuma in this mutual endeavor. So the first was the Blue Azores. I have all the Blues & Originals except the largest size. The reason Gomexus sought me out was they first contacted Okuma but couldn't get a return message. They needed someone with knowledge of Okuma products that actually tested & fishes with them as well & had access to them as well.

After a few tries we found using parts for Daiwa & Shimano made this one project fruitful as a threaded stem was needed over a hexagonal one. With this knowledge i fine tuned the sizes needed as i had the equipment & installation gear as well. Then i worked on the new Inspira ISX series that Okuma unveiled as i had one of the earlier un-released models to work with. In the first try i figured out the knob sizing needed for all models & how to use current selection from Gomexus. This was a big step as all Okuma global affiliates saw what i did & more or less copied it.

Then i used this same process for Okuma's newly released Ceymar HD line. The key was again using parts meant for Daiwa. I also enhanced their knowledge of Shimano & Daiwa reels as well. I found that parts designated for Legalis Spinners won't fit because certain sizes uses riveted handle arms over screwed-in & hexagonal or 4-sided slip-ons. I'm currently using my own funds to now purchase the reels I work with & now purchasing my Gomexus parts as Vernon no longer returns my messages.

The last 4 orders w/Gomexus i did get a discount through Jack. Unfortunately all the sizes i requested were all wrong. It's hard to produce educational videos when you help companies prosper from your efforts but they don't help you out in return for helping them. I don't expect it though out of professionalism it would've been nice as i'm helping mega companies make money at my own financial loss.
