Beach fishing

I'm goin beach fishing in norfolk nxt wednesday and usually only carp fish therefore only have rods i use for carping. Could I use one of my 2.5 tc rods or my 1.75 tc rod on the beaches?

some people do use carp rods for sea fishing.

Depends on conditions Danny.

If there is lttle in the way of pull, you might get away with it, but on a lot of beaches you might need 4oz to hold bottom (often more).

Add to that wind, waves etc and a pike/carp rod will be nodding like nobodies business.

Beg steal or borrow a beachcaster mate you will enjoy it more!
