Normally a Shallow Water Species!
When i accidently hook a Blacktip Shark it's almost always in very shallow water from reef flats to sand bars. Day & night. Normally they're a shy animal unless you are hooked-up to a fish or when there's thrashing activity. When i dove the Pacific Atolls they're a common & curious prolific shark. Starting next year all shark species will be protected from harvesting. All sharks were safely released.
