Apologies to all those who have already read this piece, it was published in an earlier Specialist Anglers magazine, I just thought it was relivent due to recent postings on the lake.

Humbly cheers guys although It was a very old piece revamped slightly, I just felt it was appropriate. I don't write much these days, writing for a living has put me off for life, although I do write the odd pice for the new Specialist Anglers SAA's mag, if nothing else they act as space fillers, I'm certainly no big Rik or Ron Clay, in fact I've just written a series of about ten features for SA, at two editions a year they should still be publishing long after I'm six feet under ha ha.

I enjoy your pieces though Stuart, and Bob you obvisously have the talent, come on mate get writing

"Confessions of a Long Distance Carp Angler", join SAA and get your copy of New Specialist Angler, actually some excellent anglers write for the magazine, ones who you dont normally find in the paying publications, and lads who have been around a long time, done it all and worn the t- shirt, its quite unique really, sadly many of us are now becoming old men and SAA is desparate for new blood!

You'll even learn how to beat the queue at a roundabout or dump your Macdonald's rubbish at a high class Warwick Wine Bar.
