September was an amazing month for us here at Thomas Turner. Not only are we getting more and more visitors with tackle to sell at our Weston Super Mare office but some spectacular collections have been bought both remotely and by us visiting. These will be listed over the coming days/weeks.

We have been fortunate to purchase 86 reels and 30 rods from West London where the previous owner enjoyed sea fishing but also buying coarse tackle that was never used. Pick of the bunch includes 20 centrepin reels all in original boxes and to include many Young’s limited editions.

Also a very special Daiwa 50th Anniversary Infinity-Q XP 3000 reel in original wooden box. Again mint and unused. The superb rod collection includes two spectacular Sharpes Scottie cane rods one Avon and one Carp in absolute mint condition and unused. Plus some super Hardy boat rods, etc. Plenty of ABU, Shimano and Mitchell reels all mint together with a mint Eaton Sun wooden reel from Reuben Heaton.

For the salmon fisherman a superb Hardy Angel 11/12 weight reel The original one made in England not the later Far East version. Rarely available and desirable. Match that with a super Thomas and Thomas salmon rod. The DH1511 15ft 11 weight. (Think Richard would like to keep that but business first!)

Just a small sample of a number of large collections we have purchased recently and only a week or so to our Sportfish valuation day at Theale. That is always exciting and throws up some nice surprises. Watch this space!

Keep visiting our site for our newest listings.

As always, get in touch if you have anything you wish to sell, we buy large or small collections!
