Centrepin reels

I have some centrepin reels that ime looking to sell for a pal who's sadly passed away to generate some cash for his young son, ime trying to find out if there's much interest in them these days before I start photographing and advertising them.

Some centrepin reels can be quite valuable, not all though. What makes and models do you have? Condition, make/model all play an important part as does any paperwork or boxes.

If you know the brand and model of a reel, search ebay for them and filter for sold items. For all but the rarest examples, it'll give you a reasonable idea of the going rate. There's not necessarily any rhyme or reason as to what's valuable and what's not. However, the condition is king. Reels in really good condition invariably attract the best possible price.
