I've managed to pick a pair of these locally which had not been used.

Got to say im really impressed with them. The playing action is soft and through actioned but with back bone.
I bought them as a leave in the car set but not now :ROFLMAO:

I’ve got one. OK as a quiver but the Avon top is horrible imo…totally lifeless though you could grow beans up it I guess. Worst rod bag ever too
Your right about the bags :ROFLMAO: Yet to use the Avon top.

Personally, I wouldn’t bother with the Avon top. It’s a shame because the DV 0.75lb tc rod is an absolute gem.
I’ve got a pair of the 0.75 tc’s. Very forgiving rods. I let my grandchildren use them the other week and they had some nice carp tench and bream. They didn’t shake any off either, despite their best efforts to do so. My youngest granddaughter had 30 tench and crucians on our previous trip. I bought the 1.75 tc barbel rod but haven’t used it yet. It may get an outing soon if the Eden drops a bit. Tackle Box do a skeleton rod bag for about a score. I now keep most of my rods in those.
