The big news of the week is that Des Taylor has SHAVED OFF HIS BEARD!!!

The knock on effect of this could be enormous. Beards are now out of fashion. Shares in Gillette and Wilkinson have rocketted.

But how will the ordinary angler be affected?

Views anyone?

Don't know about Gillette & Wilkinson but definitely in Qualcast & Flymo. :-}~

Angling Times are so quick with the news!!
Des was actually shaved on September 6th.
Should have made last weeks paper.

Nice to see there still slow with their reports.

Thats bye the bye though WELL DONE DES you done it for a good cause.And raised loads.

Well Ron it depends if you consider a shaved beard to hold the same underlying menace as a shaved head ? Its sort of the same thing dont you think ? The natural progression would therefore be tattoos and a passion for crime.

Youngsters will then follow the example of their hero, social values and society in general will crumble and the net result is that the end of the world is nigh.

Its a cunning plan!!!!...So many people are gunning for him that he has had to shave it off to "diguise" himself....lol

Is this the end of the Yam Yow Yeti or Bewdley Bigfoot as he is known.

Kevan - who shaved his beard off about 20 years ago....but the tosh remains.

This is obviously due to pre emptive fishing pressure as on TV tonight David Attenborough will be showing 'The Hairy Angler'. Des thinks he will not be recognised so easily but us experienced ones out here will still see him for what he is. ---- Theres only one Hairy Angler lets hope Des grows it back!!
