From this mornings Farming Today on Radio 4.
"TB has been found in a deer which was shot as it left a sanctuary on Exmoor owned by the League Against Cruel sports. It's been claimed for some time that the deer are starving and diseased because of overcrowding.
The Baronsdown Sanctuary streaches to over two hundred acres, the land was bought by the League to prevent hunting across it.The carcasses of two deer which were shot as they left the sanctuary in March were examined by state vets. One was found to have TB and both were in a poor physical condition with a total absence of fat."
You can hear the entire program at www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/farmingtoday/index.shtml
This goes to show what happens when the
Watership Down brigade involve themselves with real animals.
