I'm thinking to get a drennan 3 rod holdall just wondering do barbel rods and carp rods fit if using small reels like 4000's ? Just have a feeling reel seats not in same position for the reel to sit in reel pouch , my carp rods have 40mm eyes

Thanks

You may struggle with the Drennan match/coarse holdalls, especially with the carp rods. Definitely worth checking before a purchase. Should be less of an issue with the Drennan Super Specialist gear. If you want Drennan carp gear, look to the Drennan carp brand, E.S.P.

I got a 11 ft and 10 ft rod sleeve that comes with the puddle chucker range and the reel pouch is in same place it's just the length that's different , carp rods defiantly don't fit with reel on but my korum rod does fit

Esp don't do any 3 rod sleeves as far as can see , I got a drennan match holdall all my rods are in there but it be nice to have something I can have ready made rods up for short sessions wherever I use my feeder or float rods or specimen or carp rods , any ideas ?

Not really, no. If I go carping or barbelling, that's all I do, two rods minimum if carping. If I'm general coarse fishing I'll usually have a couple of float rods with me, stick and waggler and a tip rod as a last resort. I use different rod holdalls for depending on what I'm doing. I'll only have out and out carp and barbel gear ready made up. I don't like leaving lighter float and leger rods made up.

Not really because of the rods themselves, more down to the lighter, more delicate lines that I'd use with them. If I force myself to set up a rod as I need it, I get to check the line for damage each time. Doing this saves you from unexpected losses due to unnoticed line damage.

I couldn't say, though the Korum two rod total protection quiver can be a squeeze with some barbel rods (due to the reel position) let alone carp rods. You really need to check individual products with the rods you are going to put in them.

Good point ! Normally I use my shimano dl4000's wherever I'm feeder fishing , float fishing or fishing on alarms , 2 spools 1 of 6lb and other has 10lb but if going after silvers got a diwia with 3lb line . Spotted fox royale sleeve looks about right

I wanted the Drennan hard case for a shimano 10ft feeder the reel position on the on shimano are around 3-4” higher so the reel was tight against the top of the pouch I think Drennan holdalls are made just to fit Drennan rods I might be wrong… I ended up buying Shimano Super Ultegra Double Short Rod Sleeve
