Fishing in the Dominican Republic

Has anyone got any tips about shore fishing in the D.R? Have you been there and done it? I'm going next July a long time I know but I can't find anything on the net about it.

Went there last year saw no shore fishing only boat deep sea.Went offshore scuba diving saw very few fish so went deep sea boat fishing, in 4 hours caught nothing, same story with many others.We whereon north side of island may do better on south ( caribean sea )Good Luck

Thanks Margot, I am going to the South of the Island near Bayahibe hopefully it will be better on the carribbean sea side of the island.
