By the way, the use of bungs at our fly fishing match in May will be banned.

Truthfully, only ever once and that was with Graham in Thrybergh Ressie.

I cast the damn thing off my line and didn't bother replacing it.

However I have used a very bouyant dry fly on the top dropper on occasions and watched that.

Cortland 444 and the Lazer. Had a very bad experience with Airflow, or whatever its called; the fly actually broke when I was pulling it of the reel. I cut it into one inch long pieces and binned it.

Also have used the Aircel floater, which is good, and the Lee Wolf (if that's how you spell his surname) triangle taper, which certainly chucks a very long line.

Ron, here's a question for you. DT or WF for Spey casting? Presently using DT.

You'll find you get much better results with a WF, especially with the development of tapers and bodies.

Ian Gordon and Carron lines are getting very good results and reviews from people on other forums that I frequent.

I've had an Airflo 40+ for years and I just can't fault it. It casts like a rocket and is as straight as a die. I know Aircel have had a bad press, but the 40+ is one hell of a line.

I like the Lee Wulff Triangle Tapers referred to earlier, and Cortlands have always been top class.
