The day was perfect : mostly overcast with the sun peaking in and out and a breeze. Pre warm front suggested it was going to be a good day but at first all on got was casting practice for the first hour. The Crappie Magnet grub that my partner and I did well with the day before on a different lake (over 140 fish between us) couldn't get a strike. Just as I was going to call it quits I decided to try some home made designs that have proven themselves in the past. This one I call my cello tail design.

In a few hours I caught over two dozen.

I have some similar lures that I think are American imports. I haven't got round to using them
