Could anyone help me with a few questions about Gunthorpe Weir please?

1 Where is the best place to park(do you still park on side of track just before boat yard gates)?

2 If you cant park above is there anywhere to park thats safe and not to far to walk?

3Can you get day tickets on the bank?

4Anyoneknow how its fishing?

5Does it get busy(gonna try a midweek day session)?

6How many fishable pegs are there just below weir?

7 Are there any decent stick float pegs?

1-same place

2-as above

3-No-Notts AA,30 odd quid a year is worth it though

4-Patchy same as a lot of the Trent this year plus it can be snaggy

5-NO only in summer

6-About 10,one on the concrete,three on the beach and the rest further down on the stone

7-Yes,wade out and trot its about waist deep then shallows up so you can get out and trot a good line with a avon/balsa or big shouldered stick-also great for trotting livies or a small sea dead for the pike
