I do as Cakey says except I use a large insulated cool box which keeps the water hotter far longer than a bucket.

Well, that's the hemp sorted,...........all I need now is the magic boilie to catch some carp, I joined a small syndicate water recently and I've spent in total about 150 hours there and not caught a single carp yet using my normal methods.........
