my name is Dave. I live in the highlands of Scotland, at least for another week. next week I am retiring to the S.W of France to live on the River Lot
After 23 years up here and being more or less limited to game fishing I can't wait to get back to my Essex boy roots and get into some serious coarse fishing.

We are just outside a village called Casseneuil downriver from Villeneuve sur Lot.
If you know the area any tips would be greatly appreciated

Further downstream than I know David more familiar with further upstream around Cahors, Cajarc, Entraygues and Estaing.

However I gather it is the area of the river for Carp and big Cats..and some very good chub fishing.

Caught my biggest ever roach from the Lot at Entraygues.
