Mmmmm- now lets see- maybe someone could make a reel that could last forever, a reel that could be used for a multiplicity of purposes that would need barely any maintainance whatsoever .
With todays advancements in technology it shouldnt be an impossible task--- the French did it back in the nineteen thirties with the old Mitchell 300 and later the match model, a case of back to the future maybe.

A chair made out of the melted and twisted swords of those you have conquered. Maybe a chair made out of snapped and broken old bits of rod will do the job.
