I was sat fishing a week or so back when a chap chased his young son who had approached me without me hearing him. He was realy apologetic for his sons approach but I told him he was ok and he was welcome to watch if he wanted to.
The guy said he was an angler himself and lived in a waterside house, I replied saying how lucky can an angler get, everymans dream.
He told me of its location, a very prestigeous one near Lincoln, one where my wife insists we go by whenever we see the town.
He then asked if I had a paper and pen which he wrote his mobile number , name and address telling me I was welcome to sit on his front lawn anytime I wanted a days pike fishing in the wintertime.
What a lovely gesture!
