Can any one comment on what I could expect from the Whalley and down stream areas?

Regards.
Tony.

Chub to 4lb, barbel but I'm not sure how big, dace with the odd roach and plenty of trout. They do say however that it's not advisable to eat the trout.

I did go back but it was a wee bit disappointing, I caught a few chub but they were small, the largest 2lb – 15oz, 15oz’s larger than the biggest I caught as a young lad. The river had hardly changed, just a different class of rubbish, no plastic bottles and tin cans when I was a lad. I never did get around to writing part 2.
