Is there much difference between the two?
I know they both corn based?
Layer mash seem the cheaper option does just need mixing with too like vatlin ? I was going to jsuy go with a few loafs of cheap bread and frozen corn but will try to save cash where I can

I'll be prebaiting of a small lake for tench for June 16th sodistance is not important.

Read the information on the packaging. From memory layer's pellets are around 16% protein and made largely from biscuit and brewing waste. As it is made for chickens it will probably be very different to something made for carnivores. The pellets are the same ingredients as mash.

I feed layer's pellets neat for roach via a catapult. The pellets break down in less than 15 minutes so if used with groundbait they will dissolve into it pretty quickly.
