ive really struggled with a 6lb+ bream fron a weirpool - with 6lb line i couldnt move it upstream, i had to walk around it and use the current to my advantage... not a "springy" fight though - best sport i ever get is mackeral on a light american baitcast outfit with trigger grip, spincast reel and 8lb line... watch then little beauties go!!!

Rodney, Ive yet to catch a stillwater bream that does any thing but give up, hence the nickname Dustbin Lid, because thats how you drag them in.
River Bream there a completely different kettle of fish, those slab sides in the current enable them to plane about and put up a great fight
