Evening all

Are there any Oxon anglers on here that have fished Lincoln lately?

I fished this for the first time with a pal a few days ago but blanked.

It was a very hot day and could see small shoals of Carp up to 10lb cruising about, but could not get them to feed. I fished two rods, one with a zig and the other with a chod rig. I was trying to hit the gravel bars which were in the middle of the lake, although my mate forgot his spod so could not get much freebies out around the hookbait, so could explain the lack of bites.

Its quite a weedy old lake and the rigs came back covered with weed when reeling in. I am a bit unsure how to approach this venue and what tactics to use, any rig recommendations?

I am Mainly after the Tench and Carp in the Pool.

Was thinking of taking an old school approach and raking a few marginal swims clear of weed and pre baiting with particle before my next bash on the lake.

cheers

No, haven't fished that one, mainly concentrating on the rivers.

Still, wanted to send a stern salute from one Oxon angler to another.

Had some nice tench out in te summer but no carp. The only carp I have seen in the lake is about 10 pound! But a nice little lake all the same
