Afternoon guys. I have a pole that I am trying to find out some info for. All it says is Marshall 130. Have googled and not found anything similar. It is probably 20 years old. Is Marshall the model or the manufacturer? Any help appreciated, thanks

I had a Century Excalibur pole that had sections the same style as those.
Also I think Shakespeare did a put on pole with similar style sections, but I am sure they were a green colour,

Never heard of it but Browning, Shimano, Shakspeare, Silstar, Triana, Drennan all had external wraps like that 25 - 35 years ago..

I have a number 3 section that looks like those, am sure it's off a Shimano. Possibly Diaflash.
Those sections look like put over sections,
Garbolino at the time did poles with weird names such as the Rio.
Rich I think some Browning sections were green, I had a Browning UK match that was basically a Shakespeare with Browning name,
A few Browning and Shakespeare were same pole.
Avanti also did poles with spiral overwrap.

Yeh this is a put over pole with a telescopic top section. 13 metres in total

Forgot Maleve - Belgian maker (there is another in the back of my mind but can't quite think of the name)

I remember seeing Browning, Shimano and Silstar poles with those external X-weaves, though I daresay there were others. If it's a rebadged Shimano it's much earlier than the Diaflash, more likely the AX era of the 1980s.

That was my thoughts, Didnt Leslie's of Luton do something like that ?

Don't remember them doing poles, but to be honest Mark, there were some half tidy poles around that time that would have been cheaper than Leslies,I had/have a Shakespeare Superteam pole,it,was pretty good for the time,12.5m I think, quite stiff, not ridiculously heavy, had chub to 5lb 4ozs on it,couple of 2lb+ roach too....never sees the light of day these days, not for many a year in fact...

The early tpgt models had cross weave but were put in sections,
I had the powerloop in the mid 80's when they came out, that was an upgrade from Century Excalibur.
Pole Fishing mag did pole compare in price brackets, Browning and Shakespeare were same poles a few times just different graphics and price.
