Can't see many being sold over here the name doesn't mention carp or power. We are fixated on carp and power rods

Be a little wary. That Aqualite model is not officially available in the UK. Daiwa often do rods specifically for certain territories and methods. A spliced tip rod intended for Germany and further East may not be what a UK angler might expect from a spliced tip rod.

The casting weights and rod weights also suggest that these may not be the trotting rods that most UK anglers might expect. The lighter half of the range tops out at a 13' rod capable of casting 5-35g and weighing 230g. That's a good 30g more portly than Daiwa UK's more portly offerings. A really light UK 13' rod (but not usually Daiwa) can tip the scales at 140g or less. Fairly average weights of 13' match rods are 170-190g.

Daiwa UK haven't offered a spliced tip match rod since the discontinuation of the Connoisseur G range around 2013.
