rag, missed some nice bites on sandeel and mackeral.
i use a small light/glowing bead near the hook, it seams to help when things are slow.

Beads help?The guy in my local tackle shop told me that they were to enable you to see your rig coming in the dark.Ill give that a go alan when i hear of some bass being caught.

or starlights siliconed on your snood.

They work a treat for bass, but I find that a live bait in the surf is much more fun and infinitely more productive.

only tried live bait a few times but never had a bite. had a small whiting that was hit on the way in, half was missing congor i think.
