This Rod Easily Survived The 15KG Machine Test!
This prototype rod was sent to me for my opinion from the new company representative & tester of JS Company USA Mr Kil Song. It's an earlier prototype meant for the US market from JS, which is one of only 2 high tech Korean rod manufacturers.
BIXOD Montauk Moderate
10ft, 2pc, 3/4-4oz, 10-20lb
There'e discussion on renaming it "Montauk Special" with new conservative ratings of 1/2-3oz.
Right now the proposed line designation is-
JS Company USA Rod's "Surfster Moderate Rods".
Other models specs are- 9ft, 1/2-3oz & 3/4-4oz & 2-6oz
" " " " -10ft, 1/2-3oz & 3/4-4oz & 2-6oz
On this model you can use 40-50lb line though it's rated to 30lb.
I matched this up w/a Daiwa Legalis 6K w/30lb braid. Any 6-8K spinning reel will do. For added stability during trips i added a pair of Fishing Butlers to secure the 2 pieces. Also a LineDance may be added as well.
Thank you Mr Kil Song for allowing me to test your equipment.
