Okuma's New 2021 Surf Rod Release!
Earlier this year i was gifted an earlier release of the 12ft model by a local dealer to create an early look at what was being released. Basically it's by far the most POWERFUL of the Rockaway series. Rated at 6-16oz! For spinning reels. Okuma has several lines that you could use with this rod. The Coronado, Cedros & Makaira. Now this is for the 12ft model.The smaller models can be used with most surf spinners.
Not only is the 12ft Rockaway the most powerful but is leading the way for other Okuma spinning rods. At the 2021 ICAST the NEW 12ft Solaris SSX Surf Rod was revealed using this same blank technology being the 2nd rod boasting a 6-16oz rating. All the Rockaway HD & Solaris SSX will incorporate this new rod blank. Here are some stats-
