Hi folks!

As a wannabe fly-fisher, I was wondering whether there is anywhere I can go to find a breakdown of which flies to use at which times of year? I realise that regional differences may apply - I'm in the Lea Valley, just north of London. What I'm hoping to do is fish imitative patterns, rather than lures, primarily in the streams around where I live.
Fair enough, I can see which adult flies are about when they emerge - I'm more concerned about finding flies to match the underwater, pre-adult stages, and any information on how they move would also be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

James

Go out & buy The Complete Fly-Fishers Handbook by Malcom Greenhaglh(I think thats how you spell his name)
It tells you what natural flies are around & what artifical ones to match up with,it also gives you the fly-tying dressings.
IMHO a good read & no trout angler should be without.Costs ?25.00
