I have joined this site to let you know that Nicolas Whipp of Whipp Rods died in January 2021 and yes he really was Nicolas Whipp

I think that you might have got the wrong forum. There have been no references on here for a long time.

For what it is worth I have only seen glowing references to his work as a rod maker.
