Once in a lifetime? Perhaps!

While this could be posted on any of the forums, I feel that as the experience was while Trout fishing, this is the place to post.

Anyone else experienced the fantastic sight of an Osprey fishing the same bit of water as themselves? Well it happened to me at Rutland a couple of weekends ago. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!
So much so I packed up and went home and extremely happy and almost fishless!

Colin, you obviously haven't seen an African Fish Eagle, nor heard it's haunting cry.

To me this is one of the true sounds of Africa.

Even though I see Ospreys nearly every Ferox trip up here in Scotland,I agree they are a magnificent sight. I can understand how you feel meeting one for the first time...As for Ron's Fish eagle....Well, I guess not everyone is as lucky to be able to travel...I am but I stll think an Osprey at sunset on Arkaig or Rannoch takes some beating...Oh and I have been to every Continent on the planet!!
