Interesting point Steve. Although I was unable to get any gear across did look at a large number of potential waters. There are a wide variety of waters - and some very curious events! I suspect there is a huge untapped potential - there are some absolutely massive reservoirs and lakes (a couple make Grafham and Rutland combined look like a puddle after a very light shower!!) I've also discovered "Tackle Shop Heaven"

Am putting together a short piece about it which I'll send to young Wooders!!

Hope your 2lb river roach is preparing itself...Spewers and I will be down there soon
