My experience of Britford says that chances of Roach would be very slim given the temperatures.I have always found the chub very obliging in cold weather there and a single maggot to a 2lb bottom and a 18 or 20 with a very small feeder should sort of few out. They do not grow big so do not worry about going fine.Leave the feeder in a fair while. These tactics would also leave you in with an outside chance of a roach at last knockings if you make it that far.At least the minnows wont feed!
Good luck.I'll be making my first trip once a nice warm south westerly weather system flushes out the cold spell.
