I bait heavily on a 9 foot deep Stillwater that’s full of coots and tuftys. I gave up on using sweet corn as the birds see it easily through the clear water, and lighter groundbait and pellets seemed to attract them as well
I use dead red maggots, black breadcrumb and normal fish meal that I buy in bulk, dark pellets that I also buy in bulk and red maize instead of corn. It does seem to help, but I still have to deal with the odd tufty that picks up my bait.
