Ok guys heres the idea.

I will be at Old Bury Hill Dorking with a few friends from here fishing for Pike and Zander over the weekend of 28Feb/1Mar. The venue is daytime only so there is no need to night fish. I wil be staying at a local B & B on the Fri Night and fishing all day Sat 28 Feb then socialising at a venue close by at night time, then fishing again all day Sunday 1 Mar until kicking out time.

If anyone wants to join me on the bank for a session or in the evening for a social or a book review then feel free to come along.

I have been promised a whole bank or section if 10 or more will be joining me.

What do you say ?

You have the venue, you have the dates, you have the choice........

Sorry fellow mad hatters but I can`t make this one as I had a bonus through work as my boss and his brother and myself have an all expanses paid day at Old Trafford on the 28th of Febuary football match Manchester United (who I do support) between Portmouths in th premier league in our very own viewing BOX with food laid on and then all expenses hotel for the night in manchester, WOW I am chuffed. I will do my best to make the next mad hatters tea party and just another idea guys who would be interested in a weekend trip to elphicks soon as the cats start feeding? If I wasnt going to the game I would have come along as it would have been a blast and good to meet up with some friendly faces, cheers Trev and colin & Sue/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif

Cakey,

If less than 10 of us want to go, we wouldn't book anything, just turn up on the day a buy a ticket, and squeeze in wherever you like. If enough people want to go, we can book a bank, or even the whole lake, so we could all fish together.

Have any of you chaps fished Bury Hill before ? The reason that I ask is that I did a reccee a few years ago with the veiw to fish but after seeing the amount of anglers packed around the lake and the lack of space between swims, I would never fish it .

How far away from the lakes are you Les ? If it turns out that the venue is not as packed as it used to be we could give you a call and you could come on over and join us if you wanted.

I've fished it. My recollection of the place is that the swims are not that close together. Certainly no closer than any other commercial fishery. If enough of us want to go, we can get a whole bank to ourselves.

Yes Cakey you can, there are no hard and fast rules, if you can only manage a day then that is fine.

as an aside I have my B and B booked already its a mile from the venue.

Im gonna take some carp/Tenc and Bream bait along too and fish for them on day two if I dont get much action on the first day from predators. I will also be taking a supply of paracetamol.
