shell island, Harlech, wales

Off for my fourth trip to shell island in a week - so far i have always blanked here - does anyone have any tips, techniques or hotspots worth fishing.

i live near shell island. Ive never actually fished from the island but there are some brilliant bass spots nearby. One is in a place called tonfannau, where you will have to spin/plug (because all rocks), and the other is off barmouth bridge ( the side closest to Barmouth) where you can bait fish/beachcast, use peeler crab.

I fished 'the island' in July James, on a high-ish daytime tide!

We caught alsorts but nothing big, I had a small wrasse, flatties and dogs, my mate had the same but also a small bass and a weaver!

The people who work there are helpful, re: the current hot spots, we were a bit gutted that we didnt get our act together and fish a night or early morning tide, as we used a lot of bait on that 1 session, drop me a line direct if you want any more info mate!
