Shimano Model #NAS4000XGFC JDM From Japan!

Gear Ratio- 6.2:1
Bearings- 5 +1
Max Drag- 24lb
Weight- 10.1oz
One Turn- 39in

Mono Capacity- 8lb/240yd, 10lb/200yd, 12lb/160yd
Braid Capacity- 15lb/230yd, 30lb/180yd, 50lb/120yd

I have an older Nasci so i thought it was time for an upgrade. All my Shimano reels are outdated. Of all the sizes i own i use the 3K & 4K the most for inshore spin casting. 5K & 5500 for plugging. Finally 10K -14K for surf casting.

I have had a Nasci 4000 for a good number of years it was what you would call a grey import into the UK, not many available here and the retail price was around £90.
The other Nasci reels that were freely available were different in style.
That one of yours looks very similar to it.
I use mine for either feeder fishing or as a good float reel that requires constant casting .
In my opinion they are brilliant reels.

I like my Nasci. So far very smooth & easy to cast. I see the new Stradic has been released this month so will see if i can afford that as well.

I've had no problems with mine during the years I've had it , My other shimanos are Japanese from the 80's
I still have most of my units from the last 10yrs. Just have to re-lube & re-spool is all. I have several CI4's that are now called Vanfords? Wow! The prices on those are high!
