Split rings

I’m hoping the great and good here at FM might be able to help.

I’m trying to find some split rings with a particular spec and struggling so far.

Must be stainless (for use in seawater) approx 4 to 5mm dia. and here’s the rub..... a low breaking strain, approx 10lb

I’ve sourced some in 3mm but the extra mil or two would be perfect.

Just seen your post John whilst musing on the day ahead over a coffee and croissant ! I would just forget the stainless aspect for what they cost or rinse them off after use!

Yes you’re right about the stainless aspect but it was the breaking strain that was important. Having lost a few lures when casting over rock pools I wanted a ring that would give when pulling for a break so I could save the lure only losing the hook.

As I said, I’ve found some in a 3mm diameter which is a tad small. Since then I’ve come up with a better and cheaper solution. I’m tying a loop between lure and hook using 8lb line......perfick and already saving lures!
