The year is 2023 and I am advertising my unused Drennan Acolyte fishing rod.

I inspected the rod upon delivery and despite my better judgement I dared to bend the tip just a little but I stopped short of ringing the rod up.

The rod has been packed away in cotton wool and ever since it has been suspended on bungee elastics specifically designed to withstand slamming doors, the occasional sneeze and the vibrations from a dropped tissue.
