Was at a degree exhibition monday evening, amazing what can be done with photo packages like photoshop. There was some good stuff.
I'm going to experiment with macro.

Hi Cakey, what people don't realise is a macro lens can make a great potrait lens, blurrs out background and you don't have to be on top of the subject (nice if you are though).

I use my 60mm macro for portraits a lot of the time ,Ive used it sometimes on landscapes if Im struggling for light on my 18-200

I switch to a 10-22.
Also a good lense if stuck in a boat whilst fishing for portrait shots.
can't step back in a boat. Splash.

thats the problem with the 60mm, on a D300 is 90mm but Ive not gone splash yet ha ha ha

Just got Canon 550D, 18 mp. 18-135 lens. Absolute bargain, got from my local PC shop.
He thougjht I would go for it, had my daughter in mind but she still likes the D 80. I did offer to upgrade it for her, honnest.
I am busy extending the darkroom for her, and in this heat.

I'm not only the darkroom builder, but the darkroom technician as well.
Some of the b&w were taken with an old twin lense 120 film camera using a slow film speed, hence some very good detail.
