We are pleased to advise we have agreed to expand our premises in Weston Super Mare and to open a shop/showroom for our huge selection of quality vintage tackle and pre-owned modern tackle together with our TT Classic Plus range of coarse fishing rods.
We have outgrown our existing premises The Willow at Stable View Hewish, BS24 6RD and will be adding the adjoining property ‘The Oak’ hopefully in early May 2025. Plenty of parking. Additionally we will be seeking at least one new member of staff.
Talking of our TT rods those of you who enjoy watching Gone Fishing with Mortimer and Whitehouse will have seen these rods used extensively and successfully. John Bailey the fishing consultant for the show was involved in the concept and the design of the rods together with Dave Coster who both worked with Hardy and were involved with the Hardy Marksman/Supero range of coarse rods discontinued when Hardy returned to become a ‘game only’ brand. John Bailey also uses the rods for his guiding business on the River Wye where they are very much put to the sternest of performance and durability tests against large chub and barbel.
There are state-of-the-art float, quivertip, traditional Avon and bomb rods. These rods have already hugely impressed highly experienced anglers who have had the privilege to use them. Interest has been so good, additions to the range have already been ordered for field testing. Although they can be used anywhere, Dave Coster describes the new range as high performance “Big Boy” rods. Rods designed with natural venues in mind, featuring beautiful actions, a classic finish and crafted for discerning anglers. They all come with custom made rod sleeves and protective cordura tubes, hard wearing and smooth-running high-tech ceramic lined guides and top-grade cork handles. The blanks themselves are super high modulus nano carbon, a big advancement on standard prepreg carbon used in cheaper rods, resulting in better stability, greater flexibility and faster recoil. These significant advancements make fishing with them an even more pleasurable experience.
They come with a comprehensive 12 months ‘all-risks’ warranty. You can view/buy the rods on our site but for more comprehensive information and articles please visit www.ttclassicplus.com
As always part exchanges welcome.
More news on our enlarged premises as this development evolves over the coming weeks.
