There is a pond where I live a couple of carp in there but hard to catch because of Lilly pads and weed. Is there any tips I should know to catch these carp.
If they spend a lot of time on the surface, half in and half out of the pads, I'd have a go for them with a floating bait presented (if possible) on the edge of the pads with the line laying across them (i.e. out of the water). As it would be a case of "hit and hold", you'd need a strong line (15lb bs, say) and a strong pattern of hook (I like Korda Kranks), coupled with a rod such as one of the Wychwood Extricator range: https://www.wychwoodcarp.co.uk/products/rods-and-reels/extricator
