Topwater takers....

One of my favourite methods particularly in the summer, what is the everyone's opinion on topwater action?

I think it would be interesting to know which lures are most sucessful on your waters?

Jitterbugs and stickbaits are most productive on the water I fish although I have only ever seen Pike taking them, I know that there are decent Chub and Perch there as well but have never known of one to take a topwater lure.

When fly fishing for Sea Trout I have had chub on surface lures (cork lures or big muddlers)so they do work for them. Have you tried the chub at night?

I am going to try night lure fishing as soon as the weather picks up so hopefully I might catch a Chub or two...

I use surface poppers on a fly rod. Big, hairy monsters of a fly. Look like mice, frogs and..well...monsters.....lol
Also Zara spooks, crazy crawlers, slow fished Burmeks, top doctors etc
