i own 5 float rods (daiwa 14ft shakespeare 15ft ron thompson 13ft shimano 13ft but my favourite is the sovereign.strong as an ox and light as a feather.i suppose we all have our favourite but this is mine and i don't go anywhere without it if i'm planning on fishing the waggler on stillwaters.had it since the 90's and its never let me down.plus it gets a well earned rest during summer as i'm on the rivers from june till november as i use the shakespeare when trotting a stick, :)

Tri-Cast have made some lovely rods over the years, and the Sovereign is one. Full cork handle, classy colours with no bling and double leg rings all through. I much prefer their earlier rods to the ones they make now, even though their materials may have advanced.
