Lots of interesting points there. The waters I will be fishing are usually very fast paced so i think I will have a look at some of the 'commercial' style rods before parting with my cash. Allthough saying that the rod I am currently using is an old Abu match rod I have had for about 10 years, I was going to replace it because I thought it was a bit too 'heavy' for river float fishing. In the past I have ussed the rod on commercials and landed some decent carp on it quite comfortably.
