I have been given a Max Performance Uptide rod, the only problem is it has a 15lb line rating on it, every other uptider has a casting weight. Can any of you quys tell me what the casting weight is or point me to who makes/markets the Max Performance rod range

Hi Dave

I've looked for you and the only "Max Performance" I've found is a series of "conquest" rods which have several tips and can range from 10 foot yo 12 foot in length.. definitely freshwater rods...

Have a look using the above link. Most sea rods would be rated according to casting weight and class (8, 12, 20, 30 lb etc)...

FWIW...

Ron Thompson =Max Performance, I think! Casting weight on uptiders usually 2/8oz or 4/10 0z.

are you sure it's an uptider and not a 15lb class standup stick?

how long is it?
